About The Chicago Chopin Society
The mission of the Chopin Society of Chicago is to create a greater interest in Polish and American music through engaging in the active support of composers, performers and arts organizations.
The Chicago Chopin Society was established in 2004 driven by a need to celebrate Polish music and present it before the largest Polish American community in the world. The CCS has from its inception cooperated with other music organizations such as The Miami Chopin Foundation, The Chopin Society of Houston, Fryderyk Chopin Society of of Texas, Mostly Music and The Polish Arts Club of Chicago. The CCS has hosted the winners of The Polish National Chopin Competition and ACPC Marcella Sembrich Kochanska Vocal Competition among others. For the last two years we are collaborating with American Music Festivals and the Lincolnwood Chamber Orchestra bringing variety of cultural exchange programs to Chicagoland area.
Our goal is not only to bring the world’s most prominent performing artists to share in the very best that music can offer, but also to share their experience with promising students, as we are also committed to instilling in these young artists the joy that music can bring to their lives and how their performances can, in turn, enhance the lives of others.
